COMPANY FORMATION

1975

Othmar and Christine Hill found the »Institute for Test Psychology« in Vienna, focusing on personnel search and selection and the development of a psychological diagnostic method to assess the potential of applicants and employees.

1980

A special research and development department for the HILL Competence Analysis© is installed and ever since has guaranteed up-to-dateness and highest quality standards.

1981-1986

The build-up of the HILL franchise network in Austria begins. HILL Linz, HILL Graz, HILL Salzburg and HILL Klagenfurt are opened.

THE INTERNATIONALIZATION

1986

Change of the corporate name to HILL and start of internationalization.

1987

Expansion to Germany.


1989

As pioneer in the regions CEE and SEE, HILL begins to open offices in the most important former East Block countries shortly after the lifting of the Iron Curtain. First offices are found in Hungary and Russia.


1990

Since then, HILL has been accompanying numerous multinational enterprises in the developing markets of Central Eastern Europe and South-Eastern Europe. Formations in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia-Montenegro & Macedonia (former Yugoslavia) follow. The HILL Competence Analysis© is used on computer for the first time.


1991

HILL Bulgaria is found.

EXTENSION OF THE NETWORK

1992

HILL ROMANIA and Poland take up business activity. In Austria another office is opened in Innsbruck.


1993

HILL Slovenia starts to handle the Slovenian market.


1996

HILL Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina are found.


1997

HILL’s first office in Asia is opened. HILL Kazakhstan is the first western orientated personal consulting on the market.


1998

A HILL representation in India is found.

ENHANCEMENT OF THE PRODUCT PORTFOLIO

1992

HILL expands its service portfolio and now offers personnel and organizational development and strategic planning in addition to personnel search and selection.

1997

Foundation of HuMan - Institute for Humanistic Management, an interdisciplinary network devoted to disperse the ideas of humanistic values in modern economic life.


1998

The newly founded group HILL Communications (today HILL Management) specializes in services in the areas of personnel and organizational development.


1999- 2000

HILL becomes a full-service consultant in the areas of human resources and strategic management consulting.

THE NEW MILLENNIUM

For the first time the HILL Competence Analysis© is used by companies flexibly via internet and CD-Rom as the software HILL_BEST FIT. HILL continues its expansion. New Establishments in the Ukraine and Latvia are opened.


2004

HILL celebrates 15 years of business activity in Central- and Eastern Europe.


2005

HILL celebrates its 30th company anniversary. Offices in Switzerland and Turkey are opened.


2007

HILL Macedonia with its office in Skopje is founded. 

2008

HILL starts up a new office for Benelux based in Rotterdam as well as an office for France in Paris and an office for Kosovo in Prishtine.


2010

HILL in Belarus and Uzbekistan are founded.

2012

HILL Romania celebrates 20 years! 

2013

HILL in Cambodia and Vietnam is founded.

The HILL network is represented in about 30 countries with 50 offices and employs approximately 200 consultants, among them 120 business psychologists. The HILL Competence Analysis© is now available in 28 languages with country-specific standardization.

2015

HILL International Florida is founded.

2016

HILL International has a new office in Pakistan.
