Sales Director - FMCG
Our client is a strong and stable multinational
company, one of the most renowned and popular brands
in the FMCG world, market leader in their country of origin. The company is
aiming at expanding and strengthening their operations on the Romanian market
and is now looking for an energetic, experienced and motivated Sales Director.
In this position you will organize and coordinate the whole sales team on a national level. You will be in charge with defining the sales strategy on the market within company established framework, strategy and policies. You will be responsible for sales and profitability targets realization on the market in compliance with company plans. You will manage sales task force, setting quantitative and qualitative targets to all subordinates based on total annual company targets. You will monitor, support and evaluate the activity of the sales team members, including, but not limited to, conducting visits in areas / regions or major customers stores managed by sales team, so that they achieve the sales objectives. You are actively involved in the recruitment and development of all subordinates, proposing career plans for them, with full responsibility for their performance at any time. Also administrative work is part of your role, organizing the invoicing process, reporting (both internal and external ones, received from partners - distributors / subdistributors). You will monitor the situation of the distributor stock from branches and proposes measures to optimize them. It will also be your responsibility to manage sales channels, to optimize sales through channel-mix, to manage sales operative planning process and sales reporting system. You will participate in price policy definition and you will implement it on the market in accordance with set out guidelines. You will establish and maintain contacts with customers, manage customers on the market (distributors and top clients) and you will define work control measures with customers. You will manage annual contracting with customers (distributors, sub distributors, top clients and other business partners). Besides, you will represent the company image in the relationship with the partners you come into contact with, respecting the law, the internal regulations and general management strategy of the company.
For this role you are expected to have university level studies, completed by relevant sales management experience (10 years+) in direct distribution in FMCG industry.
You are highly energetic and dynamic, you have strong managerial abilities and experience, combined with organizational spirit, well-developed relationship skills, team spirit and evinced ability to identify and solve problems.
In addition you count on your advanced planning skills, availability to get involved and put effort in order to accomplish the objectives, together with very good communication and negotiation skills, perseverance and experience in dealing with tight deadlines.
You are PC literate and you are fluent in English language. Also, you have driving license, category B and availability for extensive traveling.
