Our client is a well known, multinational production company, with a strong history on the Automotive market, premium automobiles, first-class components supplier. Owing to the continuous growth on the Romanian market, our client is currently looking for a top professional to strengthen the local managerial team and fulfill the role of Logistics Director.
You will be responsible for the the efficient and effective running of the Logistics Function, ensuring the Function delivers to the business the agreed targets in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Improvement.
You will ensure all business KPIs are produced in line with reporting standards and represent accurate information and presented in the time scale specified by the business to the Corporate Function.
You will support the budget planning process.
You will ensure the on-time delivery of raw material to each Business Unit to support each MPS.
You will ensure the availability on time of customer delivery containers.
You will ensure product is shipped on time to the Customer.
You will ensure enough internal packaging is available in each Business Unit at point of use.
You will work with program and sales management on new project costings and logistics set ups.
You will continually review logistics and supply chain strategy and planning to ensure the most cost and operationally effective solution in place.
You will support purchasing in ensuring best value for money services are retained.
You will lead a regular logistics reviews with the Business Unit logistics teams to review activities and performance against KPIs and other measures.
You will be responsible for the development the Business Unit Logistics Managers under subordination, ensuring suitable training and support for getting accurate completion of tasks.
You have excellent communication, people management and organisational skills, and a proactive approach towards your area of activity.
You have at least 10 years in automotive industry of relevant and broad-based work experience in the logistics function, with proven track record in managing people, results and projects (new project launch support as well).
You have excellent command of English.
You have good understanding of Warehouse processes and systems and demonstrable knowledge and implementation of lean logistics practices, as well as good SAP knowledge.
You own clear understanding of inventory management and budget control.
You own solid experience in tender management and in 3PL / service provider management.
